NAIROBI (Somali Update Online) —Two Kenyan primary school teachers abducted and their school has been set on fire after suspected Al-Shabab militant group attacked Fafi, a town in Garissa County near the Somalia border, local officials said.
Security officials in Garissa said the militant group also vandalised a mobile communication mast in the area before they fled toward the border side.
According to education official in Garissa, who did not want to be named, the teachers’ fate is yet unknown.
The Thursday’s attack came following after a roadside blast on Wednesday killed four Kenyan police officers and a civilian when their armoured vehicle ran over a landmine in Lamu County on the Somalia border.
