Major roads in the capital city are blocked as security forces deployed into the major junctions restricting the access of both pedestrians and vehicles.
President Farmajo is expected to address the people in public for the first time since he took the office as the country’s president following his February 8th election victory.
According to rally organizers, the event is meant to show public support for the president’s administration and to mark the achievements made so far.
But critics are quick to point President Farmajo’s foreign travels that exceeded 10 since he was inaugurated in late February, as the president earlier defended his overseas travels as vital and only related to national interest.
