NAIROBI (Somali Update Online) — Kenyan opposition coalition on Thursday demanded the election commission declare that the opposition leader Raila Odinga as the President-elect of Kenya, claiming election victory of Tuesday's election.
In a press conference in the opposition's offices in Nairobi, its chief election agent Musalia Mudavadi said Mr. Odinga defeated the incumbent president Uhuru Kenyatta in Tuesday's General Election.
"We have received further information furnishing us with results from IEBC data. The results show Raila garnered 8.04 million votes and Uhuru 7.7 million," he said. "We demand that Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka be declared President and Vice President immediately."
