Furthermore, the findings, published in the European Heart Journal and Journal of the European Society of Cardiology, indicate that it has a higher risk of developing a second heart attack (or stroke). People who eat more processed foods than those who eat other types of foods, in particular,  have a higher risk of developing health disorders.

The study was conducted with 1,171 people in the Molly-Sony epidemiological program over a period of ten years. All of them already have some heart disease. Therefore processed foods were continuously included in their diet. They also contain ingredients that are not commonly used in cooking (hydrolyzed proteins, maltodextrins, hydrogenated fats) and dyes, preservatives, antioxidants, anticoagulants, flavor enhancers, and desserts.

Mariolara Ponacio, a researcher in the Department of Epidemiology and Prevention and the first author of the study, has conducted several important studies on this. He noted that eating more processed and baked foods increased the risk of a second heart attack or stroke by 40%.

Our physical health is determined by the quality of the food we eat. So it is better to take fresh vegetables, fruits, high nutrient-rich sesame varieties etc. Thus only health benefits are available to the body. On the contrary, it does not cause any physical harm, the researchers said.
