A magnitude 5.42 earthquake shook Nepal this morning. The epicenter was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor in Kathmandu, Nepal. There has been tension over the sudden earthquake.

The quake measured 5.3 on the Richter scale. This information was given by the National Seismological Center.

The epicenter was reported 35 kilometers east of Bokhara, Nepal. The US Geological Survey put the figure at 5.3 on the Richter scale.
