IN-U23 VS SL-U23: Continuing their unbeaten run, India won the toss and opted to bowl first in the first semi-final against Pakistan. Batting first, Pakistan faced two major blows in the third over when Ankit Rajput sent back Shahibzada Farhana and Hussain Talat on the duck. Soon, Pakistan were reduced to 42-4. However, M Rizwan (67 of 95) and Saud Shakeel (62 of 72) resurrected the innings to 172-10 in 44.4 overs.
In the second semi-final, Sri Lanka chased down the 237 runs target set by Bangladesh with 4 wickets in hand. Put into bat, Bangladesh posted 237-10 in 49.1 overs, courtesy Mizanur Rahman (72 of 95) and Yasir Ali (66 of 72). In response, Sri Lanka chased down the target in 48 .2 overs with the help of stellar knock of unbeaten 91 from Kamindu Mendis. Wicketkeeper batter S Weerakkody (47 of 37) also played a crucial knock at the top.
