The first match of Indian Premier League 2021 season 14 starting April 9,2021 at 7.30pm. The season has 8 teams which will play against every team. So there are total of 60 matches which will be playing in 6 different venues in India.Out of 56 matches, the first four top ranking teams will be qualified for the playoff. Playoff has 4 matches which are Two Qualifier rounds, One Eliminator and the final match.

The venues which are Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore,Chennai, Ahmedabad and Mumbai as an optional venue in consideration with country’s highest active Covid cases. Also the BCCI added Hyderabad as an backup venue for the matches. The playoff matches from 25 May,2021 to 30 May,2021 will be taking place in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
