Many states in the country, including Tamil Nadu are being trapped by the second wave of the Corona virus. Many tragic incidents are taking place in the North Indian states than in the South Indian states including lack of beds and oxygen, more casualties, and the queuing of corpses without cremation. With the number of corona victims in Uttar Pradesh on the rise, many are being treated under home isolation due to overcrowding in hospitals.
The state’s Lucknow district administration, which is facing a severe shortage of health workers, has teamed up with online retailer Flipkart to provide free medical equipment to corona patients whom under home isolation. There was a problem in getting free medical equipment provided by the government to the corona patients who were under home isolation due to lack of health workers.
Aware of this, Lucknow District Magistrate Roshan Jacob has taken steps to get free medical equipment for those who are in home isolation through Flipkart. Abhishek Prakash, who was in charge of the Lucknow District Magistrate, was recently appointed as the Lucknow District Magistrate by Roshan Jacob, who was suffering from corona infection and was under house arrest. District Magistrate Roshan Jacob, who called Flipkart representatives and signed an agreement with the courier company to expedite the delivery of necessary medical equipment to patients under home isolation.
This free medical kit contains all the medications prescribed by experts for the treatment of corona virus. More than 5,000 corona infections have been reported every day in Lucknow for the past 13 days. The total number of corona cases in the district has exceeded one lakh on the recent day when the one-day impact reached 5,187. Most of them (more than 90 per cent) are in home isolation due to lack of beds in government and private Govt hospitals. Govt patients under home isolation due to lack of beds in hospitals are suffering severely without access to proper assistance such as expert advice, oxygen and medicines.
Roshan Jacob, who introduced home courier services to provide free medical equipment to corona patients at home, said 15 people from the courier delivery team went to 1,125 homes on the first day to help medical corona patients in Lucknow. He also promised to deploy another 40 teams to provide free medical equipment to all corona patients under home isolation in the state capital Lucknow.
Alok, who formed a small group to help patients under home isolation, said, “Thanks to Roshan Jacob for initiating home delivery services for prescription drugs for the treatment of corona virus in those who are home isolated.
