IIT Madras ranked as best for the third time. IIT Madras has been the champion since 2019. IISc has obtained the second rank. IISc was the best-ranking institute in 2018 and before. In the six years of NIRF, no other institute has got the top spot yet.
IISc Bengaluru and IIT Bombay have come second and third respectively in the NIRF ranking 2021. IIT Delhi and IIT Kanpur make up the top five. There are seven IITs in the top ten NIRF ranking. NIRF ranking 2021 has been released for 11 categories including overall rankings, research institutions, universities, engineering, management, pharmacy, college, medical, law, architecture, and dental.
