Road Safety World Series 2020-21: Big score for Indian legends against South African legends at the World Road Safety Tournament 2020-21. India scored 204 runs in 20 overs as the batting first. Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj batted brilliantly to give India the lead. Though Sehwag lost his wicket early on, it was Tendulkar’s innings that kept India at bay. Tendulkar scored 60 runs off 37 balls with nine fours and a six. Yuvraj Singh’s aggressive batting in the final over helped India cross the 200 runs.
The partnership between Tendulkar and Badrinath scored 42 runs, which laid the foundation for Indian batting. Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan and Manpreet Gony, who later came to Greece, did well for India. Yuvraj scored 52 runs off 22 balls, Yusuf Pathan 23 runs off 10 balls and Gony scored 16 runs off 9 balls. Yusuf Pathan took 3 wickets and Yuvraj has two wickets for India.
In reply, South Africa has scored 78 runs for no loss in 9.3 overs. Andrew Putty (40 off 33 balls) and top scorer is Morne Nico van Wyk who scored 48 runs. Andrew Putty and Morne van Wyck gave South Africa a great start as they chased down a huge target. The duo put on 87 for the opening wicket.
Yusuf Pathan took a wicket of Putty in the 11th over, which was India’s first breakthrough. Morne van Wyk (48), Alviro Peterson (7), Sander de Bruyne (10), Lutz Bosman (0), Roger Telemachus (11) and Makhaya Entini (1) were out at regular intervals. Jonty Rhodes (22) and Garnett Kruger (1) were not out.
