Before going to the bank it is very important to know about the days and times the bank is operating. Because there are so many festivals coming up in September. The thing to note is that not all festivals are celebrated in all states. The holiday is different for each state.

In that sense, this month comes the festivals of Srimanth Sankardev Didi, Karma Puja, Indirayatra, and Narayana Guru Samadhi Day. The Reserve Bank of India considers this a compulsory holiday. Therefore, the holiday will be given only to certain states that celebrate this festival.

In that sense, banks do not operate for a total of 12 days in September. A total of 6 days are weekends. 8th September: Banks closed in Guwahati due to the Srimanth Sankardev festival.

September 9: Harithalika Teej Festival. It is celebrated in Gangtok. So the banks in the area will be closed on that day.

10th September: Today will be a holiday for all banks as Ganesha Chaturthi is celebrated all over the country.

11th September: Holidays can be offered in many places as it is the second day of the Ganesha Chaturthi festival.

17th September: Banks operating in Ranchi state will be given a holiday as Karmal Puja is celebrated on that day.

20th September: Banks in the Gangtok region have set to see another holiday as the ‘Indira Yatra’ festival approaches.

21st September: Bank holidays in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram on the occasion of Sri Narayana Guru Samadhi.
