Beckham shared his sentiments during an interview with CNBC anchor Sara Eisen at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. Reflecting on his upbringing, he said, “I always get emotional talking about anything that I do with our royal family because I’ve always been a huge royalist. I was brought up in a household that adored and loved everything that came with the royal family.”
This strong connection led Beckham to take on an official role in 2024 as an ambassador for The King’s Foundation, a charitable organization focused on education and youth development.

The former England captain also highlighted his close relationship with Prince William, now the Prince of Wales. Over the years, Beckham has worked on various projects spearheaded by William.
“I’ve always been there when he’s asked me to get involved with things,” Beckham explained.

Reflecting on his childhood memories, Beckham noted, “When I was a kid, I used to see the helicopters going over, and you knew exactly what they were going to do. They were on their way to an emergency. To be involved in that has always been a ‘Yes’ for me.”
