The Isle of Wight’s business community gathered in style last night at the Isle of Wight Chamber Business Awards, hosted by WightFibre. The prestigious event took place at Cowes Yacht Haven, and this year, it was graced by double Olympic Gold medalist and TV presenter Shirley Robertson. As the Island’s most prestigious business awards, the evening recognized outstanding achievements across various categories, showcasing the best of the best.
Business of the Year: IOW Group Shines Bright
The IOW Group emerged as the standout winner, securing the Business of the Year title. Their remarkable success extended to winning the Technology & Innovation and Manufacturing & Export categories. Managing Director Brett Nicholls expressed his delight at receiving three trophies in their first year at the Chamber Awards.
Recognizing Outstanding Contributions
The President’s Cup for Outstanding Contribution was awarded to Rachael Randall, founder of HTP Apprenticeship College. Her business success and support for the wider economy through organizations like the Solent LEP, Visit Isle of Wight, and Solent Partners earned her this prestigious recognition.
Environmental Excellence and Member of the Year
Nosy Agency stood out, winning the Environment & Sustainability award and being named Member of The Year by the Chamber. Their commitment to sustainability and support for the Chamber team set them apart.
Creative Impact and Other Winners
Quay Arts claimed the newly introduced Creative Impact award, celebrating their contribution to the Island’s creative scene. Other winners included Wight Coaches, Acorn Interiors, W Hurst & Sons, Datum Electronics, UKSA, BeCalmed, Luccombe Hall Hotel, JR Zone, PC Consultants, Nettlecombe Farm, MedTec Design, and Island Holiday Company.
In total, 42 Island businesses were nominated, with WightFibre as the headline sponsor once again.
